I don't know that I have much of dA story. I started this account 7 years ago mostly just to favorite things. I took a shot at art here and there but it's not my forte. I know that. I've never put the time and energy into drawing so I don't expect I'll ever be that great at it. Over the years, I've realized I have more of an affinity for textiles and jewelry projects.
I've always liked making jewelry. I like having things no one else has. I used to really want to take classes for it to formally learn techniques but that never panned out. So it's all books and YouTube and trial and error. And it's not a bad way to go. There are advantages to both formal and informal lessons.
My cosplay has both picked up and slacked off. I've taken on more difficult projects which is great but at the same time it slows me down a lot. I don't have my own sewing machine and I don't have a place in my own house to really work. So I always work at a friend's house on weekends. And for better of worse, sometimes I get stuff done, sometimes I don't. Really hoping to get back in the groove and work on Zelda some more.
I've also got a group shoot coming up for a 50's version of Sailor Moon. I still haven't gone through photos from a mini shoot I had previously of my 50's Jupiter. Need to pick up some fabric samples for another 50's version of another character. Keeping it semi-under wraps until I get more accomplished on it. Then there's a super secret project that only one other person knows about. Fingers crossed it works.
Do it's mostly cosplay and cosplay related accessories in my future.
